Publix RULES!

SO, I just realized TODAY that the reason I love Publix so much is because I can't stand shopping at Kroger, Ingles and Walmart. I went to Kroger today and (of course!) they were out of the Bayer aspirin and the other big sale items. Yes, COMPLETELY out! Ugh! I hate that! I am going to Publix to buy 4 snausages ($6), 4 pretzel crisps ($7), 4 splenda ($8), and 2 packages of turkey burgers ($8) with my $5 off $25 Fresh Market coupon. Publix RULES!

$1 at Publix

Today I bought 2 bags of pedigree dog food, 1 big jug of naked smoothie juice, 2 biotene gum packages, I banana, 1 package of guac, 1 package of tena pads, 1 box of texas toast and 1 half gallon of silk almond milk for a little over $1. I used a $5 off $25 Fresh Market purchase coupon because my Publix considers FM a competitor :)

Just realized that I could've printed a coupon from the Naked Juice website. Darn!

Paid $4 for 15 items at Publix

I just love Publix. First of all, I walked in with a receipt that hadn't used any coupons. I found a few coupons that I could have used with that receipt, so I started off with some cash. Then, I bought 15 items including, 6 Muller Yogurts, 2 Starbucks coffee bags (which I can eventually turn in to a FREE tall coffee, check out the picture on the left), Publix cookies (PENNY ITEM), 3 dial body wash bottles, and a box of hair color. I used a $5 off $40 Publix coupon and many other manufacturer, Publix and competitor coupons. All of this was only $4, but really it was free because two coffees at Starbucks is worth more than $4. That, my friends, is why I LOVE PUBLIX.

FREE and cheap Merona Shoes at Target!

Yesterday, I bought these two shoes for .08 TOTAL with the $5 off one Target Coupon. The sandals were FREE ($4.54 without the coupon) and the shoes on the right were $5.08, so only .08! Wowzers!

A few days ago, I bought these for $5.98 - $5 Target Coupon = .98!

$45 for a $50 visa gift card and groceries

Today I bought 4 frozen pizzas and gas-x + a $50 visa gift card for $45. I tried to use the gift card at the gas pump, but apparently that is a huge no no! I didn't know this. Now, my card won't be able to be used for 3 business days. There is a lot of trouble that you go through when using this card. I would rather use the old school gift cards and not pay the $4.95 fee. Oh well, I still got a good deal.

Yesterday at Publix I bought 4 frozen pizzas, 1 cucumber, 1 banana, and 2 wholly grac packages for $3. My  Publix takes Target coupons and I had a $3 off $25 Publix coupon that I found last week.

Look at this awesome coupon that I found in the baby section of Publix! It's for $3 off a $25 purchase. It says HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY (in Spanish) on the front of it. I used it to buy a small bag of Iams dog food, 2 boxes of Post cereal, a few pieces of fruit, a bottle of Powerade, 2 bags of quaker rice chips, 2 Sundown vitamins, 1 Visine, and a $1 donation to MARCH OF DIMES. All this ended up being only $3 with tax! I love Publix!

I love livingsocial deals... USE MOM5 coupon code

Last week I got a $10 oil change. Yesterday, I had a $50 dinner for $25 + tip. I love livingsocial. I've never bought a livingsocial "escape". Have you? Use MOM5 coupon code to get an extra $5 off. Yayyy!

Got paid 17 cents to buy $21 worth of groceries

Today I bought 2 pillsbury toaster strudles, 2 bbq sauces, 2 20 oz. sweet tea bottles, 1 motrin 4 count, 1 box of healthy look hair color, 1 sargento sliced cheese, and 1 fresh express salad for -.17. Yep, NEGATIVE 17 cents. The best coupon that I used was the $5 off $20 publix coupon that I got in the mail. Love it! Whoop Whoop!

If you are trying to save money you shouldn't just look at your savings at the stores. You should also look at banking products. Which bank will pay you the HIGHEST interest rate for saving your money and keeping it with their bank? Interest rates change all the time, so it is important to keep up!

Today, I noticed Bank of America has awful interest rates. They offer a .01% monthly interest rate for their checking accounts. BLAH! So, if you have $2,000 in your BOA checking account, you only make 20 cents per month and it is time to find a new bank.

USAA offers a .1% monthy interest rate on their savings accounts, which is a litte better. With that same $2,000 you could make $2 per month. That's $24 per year that you wouldn't have if you were a BOA customer.

Then, I realized Capital One 360 is the best. They offer .2% interest rates on CHECKING accounts and offer you a $50 first time sign up offer. Your $2,000 has now made $50 per year.

Exercise and 3 dog treats for $1

If you have a dog, you are forced happy to walk/exercise more often. My goal is to walk or run my dog more than one mile everyday. We will try for 400 miles in one year. Seems easy enough and good for his health and mine :)

On another note, I bought 3 bags of dentastix today at Publix. I used $2 off 3 Manufacture's coupon and 3 $1/1 Target printable coupons for a total of $1! Normally, these go for $4 per bag! Crazy!
They are almost $6/bag on this website, BLAH!
